Configuring a COSATI map for a parent search field

If you have Symphony Tech Report records that you want to include in searches, you can create a map from the COSATI record to any parent search field.

If you edit a search field, or if you edit the COSATI Map properties for a parent search field, you must re-index your data and refresh the Discovery search cache. Your changes are not reflected in Searching or the Admin console until you refresh the search cache. For more information about refreshing the Discovery search cache, see Refreshing the search cache.

Extra content search fields do not map to COSATI Tags, nor do they map to PDF metadata fields. While these options may be available for extra content, changing the settings may cause undesirable results.

To configure a COSATI Map for a parent search field

  1. Log in to the Admin console.
  2. Choose Search Configuration from the navigation pane.
  3. Choose Search Fields.
  4. Choose the Configure COSATI Map option next to the parent search field for which you want to define or edit the COSATI Map.
  5. Choose Add Tag.
  6. Complete the fields, as necessary. For more information, see Fields: Configure COSATI Map.
  7. Choose OK to save your changes, or choose Cancel to discard your changes and return to Search Fields.
